The Jail Birdies Golf Tournament is an event with proceeds going directly to the union. The sole purpose of these funds is to host family friendly events for members and their loved ones to attend. Holiday parties, cookouts, sporting events, and other social occasions help to strengthen the morale within the department. It also dedicates time for members to take their families on low-cost, or no-cost outings, and spend time that is naturally reduced by the hours worked for the Sheriff's Office.

In addition to helping the union members and their families, the DSBA believes in giving back to the community. After all, we are public servants ourselves! Each year a charity is chosen to be the recipient of a portion of the proceeds and a donation is made in the name of the DSBA.
